Tiny Link (tiny-link.us) is built to be useful without surveilling anyone. This policy explains, in plain language, what we log, why, and what we do not do. By using Tiny Link you agree to this policy.

The short version

• We use no cookies and set nothing on your device to track you.
• Analytics are aggregate only — no personal profiles.
• We do not sell or share personal data with anyone.
• Because there is no tracking cookie, there is no cookie banner.

Cookieless analytics

Tiny Link does not use tracking cookies, browser fingerprinting, or cross-site identifiers. We do not build advertising profiles about you, and we cannot follow you around the web.

What we log for clicks and scans

When a short link is opened (a click) or its QR code is scanned (a scan), we record a small amount of non-identifying, aggregate information so the link's owner can see how it is performing:

• Country (derived from IP, not the full IP address).
• Referrer host — the website domain a click came from, if any.
• Browser family — for example "Chrome" or "Safari," from the user-agent.
• Device type — such as mobile, tablet, or desktop.
• Whether the event was a click or a scan, and the time it happened.

This data is aggregated into counts and cannot be used to identify you.

Creation IP for abuse prevention

When a link is created, we retain the creating IP address for the limited purpose of abuse prevention — detecting spam, rate-limiting, and investigating malicious links. It is not used for analytics, advertising, or profiling, and it is not shown to link owners.

Ads on stats and dashboard pages

The free public tool is supported by on-site advertising that appears on dashboard and stats pages — never on the redirect itself. Ad providers may set their own cookies on those specific pages; where they do, that is governed by the provider's own policy. Redirects and QR scans remain ad-free and fast.

What we do not do

• We do not sell, rent, or share personal data.
• We do not create advertising profiles from your link activity.
• We do not require an account or personal information to use the tool.

Data retention

Aggregate click and scan counts are retained to power a link's stats. Creation IPs are retained only as long as needed for abuse prevention. Links that violate our Terms may be deactivated at any time.
